WHY ONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK

‘Tripurainfo Year Book was first published in 2010 and the 10^th Edition launched in January, 2023 was an instant hit and a sell-out within the shortest span of time. Many readers including students, candidates for competitive exams as well as those keen to keep abreast of time had been pressing for the 11^th edition of the book.

Publication of this 11^th edition is a major step taken by Tripurainfo Publication division. The important feature of ‘Tripurainfo Year Book ‘ or the popular book’s 11^th edition is its endeavour to present information in an accessible and interesting way. Particular attention has been paid to the language of the entries to ensure that they are written in an intelligible style, without losing sight of the stylistic conventions identifying the subject area to which each entry belongs.

 The principle of functional clarity has also been used in the selection of illustration. ‘Tripurainfo Year Book 2025’, accordingly presents a knowledge base which is well suited to meet the information needs of paeople just as its maiden first edition ‘Tripurainfo Year Book 2010’ did. Such commendable and ambitious hard work to prepare and compile a comprehensive database of information relating to Tripura has been successfully completed by Tripurainfo Publication division with the launching of this book which will undoubtedly help the students, unemployed youths and aspirants for jobs through competitive examination and public in general in becoming aware of the benefit they can derive.

 This book has been originally prepared as a compulsory study material for students studying in the School of Science, Shyamali Bazar, Agartala, Tripura. Any unauthorized reproduction of any information from this book is prohibited.

ABOUT THE BOOK

It is with the aim of helping the students and candidates for a variety of competitive examinations for jobs that we have designed this book, collating authentic information mostly from official sources.

We have taken special care to enrich the book with detailed information on the state of Tripura’s economy in all its facets, investment opportunities, and availability of raw materials for industries, flora and fauna in the state. But the most important data base contained in the book is the detailed chronology of major events in Tripura since the year 2021 to 2024. This chronology includes all major events encompassing a variety of sectors like Politics, Education, and Economy to Industrial Development.

The students and youths of the state and inquisitive outsiders keen to know about Tripura will benefit from a study of the book as a fountain-spring of exclusive and hitherto unknown information and data exclusively on Tripura. The resounding success of the first, second, third and fourth to 10^th  edition only helped to further fuel the interests of students and readers in the 11^th   edition of the book. While presenting the 10^th and latest edition we would like to emphasize that the instant 1th edition has also been carefully updated with the latest information and data, specially the data on recently held, Tripura Panchayat Election-2024 and the Dynamics of Development in Tripura. While this will go a long way in quenching the perennial thirst for information and knowledge of the readers, especially students, we would like to put on record the crucial fact that our information and data presented in the book have been collected from unimpeachable official sources for the sake of authenticity. Nevertheless, we are ever open to informed suggestions for further improvement of the book from scholars and intellectuals in our next edition.
